My dog's urine is burning my gr. is there a remedy?

my one year old cavalier king charles has taking a liking to urinating in the gr, despite 2 acres of woods at her disposal. i once heard that there is something you can give your dog orally to help prevent this. does anyone know the efficacy and safety of this option?
