Should he expect me to wait for him?

I have been seeing this guy for about two months and he has decided that his best career option is to become a trucker. For the training he would be gone for about 10 weeks, followed by a work schedule of being gone for about 6 weeks at a time followed by being home for about a week. While I of course want him to be happy and do what he needs to do, I don't feel like I can stay with him if he does this. Am I wrong to end things if he goes ahead and does this? Or should I stay with him as he seems to think I will?
