Is axel from kingdom hearts really from final fantasy?

No, he's not. He was intentionally created to resemble Reno of FF7, to place a familiar character in an unfamiliar environment altogether. He and Reno aren't one in the same, nor are they connected in any way. Axel is Axel, Lea is Lea, and Reno is Reno.
