My rack pinion on my Durango is leaking a little is bad it shake wh. Can I take the truck on a 1200 Miles trip?

My rack pinion on my Durango is leaking a little is bad it shake when I go up to 70 Mph to up. Can I take the truck on a 1200 Miles trip? I thinking on going up to Tennesse to the smokey mountain. I live in Florida so that is a 600 Miles trip one way to come back is 600 Miles the total of miles 1200 Miles!
